There are so many ways to define a top 5-10 list of the greatest NBA players, or the single greatest player of all time.
If you base it solely on Championships alone, Bill Russell
Just pure ability that dominated the sport, Magic, MJ.
Indvidual Records, Wilt, Alcindor,
Heart, the will to win, Kobe..Bird.
That is just my take on it. I think most people are in agreement that Jordan is the greatest to ever play, but it's always up for interesting conversation.

There has never been an NBA draft where a player with the size, strength, stamina, and athleticism that Wilt Chamberlain had would not have been the top draft pick. In 142 head-to-head match-ups against Bill Russell, Wilt averaged 28.7 points and 28.7 rebounds per game game. Chamberlain and Russell were the two best rebounders of all time and had the NBA kept blocked shot stats, they would be #1 and #2 in that category as well.

Bob hit the nail on the head in my book. As much as I hate to add him...I'd add Reggie Miller as an alternate...
Bernard King was a great player as well.
Also Moses Malone...I couldn't keep a list to ten if I tried. Too many great players come to mind!
