Russell beats Greenup in close game but pulls out for the victory. The Devils 4th grade allowed 16 offensive plays tonight, while running 50 offensive plays, 2 fumbles cost them field position and 2 scores. The Devils are crowned regional champs with the win over Greenup tonight after competing in the annual BLACK BOWL at Raceland. Teams included, Russell,Raceland, Greenup,Lawrence County, Fairview, Boyd County, South Webster, Ohio.
Russell wins 14 to 8 in the nail biter. Russell finishes the season undefeated and allowing only 2 TD's against a stingy defense. The Surprise for Russell was knocking off the Raceland 4th Grade team who have compiled a record of 57-3 in the last 3 years. This was the first meeting between the 4th grade teams and is a premenition of next years last regular season High School Football game between Raceland and Russell.:devilflam :redboxer:
