Valley moves their record to 4-0 after a sloppy game tonight.

Although the Wildcats came away with the win, the coaches could not be happy about all the mistakes that were made. Two of the scores came on busted plays after bad snaps, and they missed on all three conversion attempts. Valley turned the ball over 3 times again for the second straight game. After scoring 3 TD's before halftime, Valley was shut out in the second half. Their offense tonight was a parade of bad snaps, botched handoffs, missed blocks, and fumbles by running backs. It was painful to watch.

The defense played well and notched their first shutout of the year, but just barely. In the third quarter, Johns Creek had a nice looking drive with some good runs by their backs. The Bearcats actually took the ball down to the 1-yard line, but Valley recovered a fumble on the very next play. Then after the Wildcats fumbled it right back on the next play, Johns Creek had a 1st and goal from the 3-yard line, but Valley was able to make some tackles for loss and hold them again.

All in all, this was a game that looked like the subs would play a lot after halftime, but Johns Creek was having none of that. Although neither team scored in the second half, Valley was outplayed during the last two quarters. Still, the defense stepped up big when they needed to. That "D" will give Valley a chance to win every game they play this year, the offense just needs to clean up all the mistakes.
Next up for Valley: a rematch on Saturday against Neon. The Wildcats won at Neon a few weeks ago, but had to go to overtime to do it. Valley will have to play much better this weekend if they want to stay undefeated.
