HUNTINGTON, WV -- The starting running back on the Marshall University football team is behind bars, charged with burglary and petit larceny. Ahmad Bradshaw was arrested after the theft of a video game system from a Marshall dorm room.

Marshall police say it happened on Monday.

They say Bradshaw walked into a fellow student's dorm room at Haymaker Hall on campus and removed a Playstation 2 video game station worth $200.

He was arrested just after midnight early Thursday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, Marshall police have Bradshaw on security video and that it shows Bradshaw taking the Playstation out of another student's room.

The door was not locked and the victim told police that it was a theft.

Marshall coach Mark Snyder released a statement, saying Marshall is still gathering all the facts and trying to get more information about what happened.

Snyder says quote, "We have to let the legal process take its course and we will take appropriate action when the the legal process is complete."

Snyder has established a zero tolerance policy for his team, so if convicted of the felony charge of burglary, it could put his status on the team in jeopardy.

Bradshaw will be in court again on January 30th, that's when a magistrate will decide if there's enough evidence to send this case on to a grand jury.
